How are your online sales going lately?
Mine aren’t too good. Nor are the folks I’m helping with their websites.
Why?
Nobody seems to be spending money right now.
What If I could point you at a market segment that’s not only spending money, but is DYING to spend it MORE EFFECTIVELY?
Let me tell you a quick story to illustrate the point.
One of my collegues shared with me about how he ran into an insurance guy recently and was discussing how sales are going. The insurance guy said the economy is killing him, just like everybody.
Insurance is a “numbers game” — it’s all about squeezing a little bit more out of your marketing dollars to convert a few more sales.
Top insurance sellers STILL spend a TON of money each month on promotional stuff. And they’re not alone, by any means. Just open your local newspaper and take a look at the ads. Dig around and see if you can find out what the ads cost. And take a look at how many repeat advertisers are there, day after day, week after week.
Do you think they’re getting the best bang for their advertising buck? In many cases, NO! Not by a LONG shot!
Anyway, my friend got this insurance guy to share what he’s spending on advertising and direct mail each month, and it was upwards of $20k. PER MONTH.
So cagey guy that he is, he said, “What if I could cut your monthly ad spends in HALF, and double your sales?”
Now, who’s going to say, “Sorry, not interested!” to something like that?
Small business people are a different breed. For the most part, they’re always looking for less expensive ways to promote their business. And if you can offer up something that makes sense, they’re often more than willing to give it a try.
There’s an old advertiser (Ogilvey, I think) who supposedly said, “I know half of my advertising isn’t working. I just don’t know which half.”
This is true of most small business owners today! Which is why they are very often quite willing to shift dollars from one ad budget to another without a whole lot of arm twisting.
(I had one client who decided to cancel his radio ads, which were costing him $2500/mo. Instead, the sales rep offered to TRIPLE his air-time if he’d stay with them. That’s how competitive the ad world is.)
First, you need to understand, most retailers are spending $5k, $10k, up to $25k PER MONTH on media advertising: radio, TV, newspapers, flyers, coupon books, etc.
If you can approach them with a compelling reason to SHIFT some of that money to YOU, you’re in like Flynn. I know, I’ve done it.
Anyway, my buddy got the insurance guy to pony up $15k to set up 85 web sites for him, as well as a $10k/mo maintenance fee. (It was under half of what he was already spending!) His overhead: a dedicated server for $150/mo and a guy in the Phillipines who costs $500/mo and works full-time driving traffic to those 85 sites.
I know, it’s not very glamorous. And it’s a LOT simpler than wrestling with setting up RAP sites.
Could YOU handle a $10k a month retainer to keep a dedicated server running, and ride herd on one or two outsourced workers who drive traffic at a bunch of sites?
Good grief! What would you do with all of your spare time?
But if you think this is a fluke, it’s not. Small business owners all over the country NEED YOUR HELP TODAY! Whatever level of online marketing expertise YOU have developed thus far, I guarantee you it puts you head-and-shoulders above your competitors. And WAY beyond your average business owner! Seriously.
So what?
I’ve been working this offline angle for a few months now, and while there are parts that are easy, there are things that are challenging.
One of the challenging parts is putting together a nice “package” to offer people. Another is having a clear-cut offer to make that has enough “proof” behind it to get them to believe me when I say it’ll work.
Mike Koenigs and the guys at Traffic Geyser have been putting together a PACKAGE that addresses most of these issues head-on. You might think, “Traffic Geyser? What good is that?”
Well, for one thing, your average business owner doesn’t think he can get ANYTHING done with video for under $10k. So if you walk in with a proposal to get him a truckload of traffic for less than that, he’ll listen to you. Better yet, with a solid proposal, he’s likely to cut you a check right on the spot.
The TG package is focused on Marketing to Main Street, and it’s currently in pre-launch.
I invite you to follow along with this particular launch because they’ve got some excellent materials and statistics for you. Whether you decide to get this product or not, this is a market you WANT to be learning about. The pre-launch materials are free, so take advantage of them.
This package will make it easier and more cost-effective for you to get into the offline market. That’s all there is to it.

Look, you understand what’s involved promoting stuff online. How would you like to get PAID to do it? By business owners who think that what you’re charging is CHEAP compared to the other methods they’re currently using.
I know, I’ve been focusing on this market since December, and it’s a huge market with LOTS of money to spend.
You just need to learn how to do it most effectively. Which, coincidentally, is exactly what THEY want to know from YOU!

PS: In the offhanded chance that you decide the information at the link above might actually benefit you, and you choose to buy it, I’ll earn a commission. But it’s not likely to be as much as what you’ll get from your very first offline client. In fact, every one of my offline clients have paid me more than the commissions I’ll earn on these sales. And I’ve earned more from them that all of my online sales in a year!
PPS: this package is based on their previous product, neither of which I’ve actually seen. However, I’ve been working with offline clients for several months now. I understand what’s involved, and Mike appears to be doing a great job delivering the kinds of materials that are really needed to succeed. TG in this case is a tool you’ll use to “deliver the goods” so to speak once you’ve retained a client. I have used TG, it’s great, and it’s a very powerful tool when used to address the needs of offline clients.
PPPS: after you’ve watched the video, send me an email with your thoughts and ask me to send you the process I promote that uses TG to get a couple thousand backlinks to a client’s site in a month. This is NOT a technique you’ll learn from Mike or his training!
